HSR Daytona finale sees crowning of Jo Bonnier Cup winner
Howard Katz wins Jo Bonnier Cup

The Jo Bonnier Cup for 2 ltr sports racing cars presented by Lee Chapman Racing and sponsored by SascoSports, wrapped up at Daytona with Howard Katz taking the closely fought championship in his 75 Toj SC205. 4 points separated the top 3. This exciting series was initiated four years ago to re-fire the 2-ltr sports racing class that has always been a mainstay of vintage racing. A combination of SVRA and HSR races makes it possible for all to participate and have a chance of winning. Makes such as Chevron, Lola, TOJ and Gropa are just some of the cars that were built to contest the FIA series in the 70's and recreated now in vintage racing. This year saw another close battle heading into Sebring with Howard, Paul Flowers, Roy Walzer and Rick Carlino all having a chance at the championship. Driving his 75 Toj with the consistency of a true champion, Howard was able to come out on top in the end. Paul Flowers finished 2nd with Roy Walzer 3rd. For his efforts, Howard will receive a set of AVON tires from Sasco. Congratulations again Howard (who also won the Handy Bowl!), and thanks to all that participated.
